Living like a 3 Year Old
As Picasso so famously stated, "Every child is an artist. The problem lies in remaining one as he becomes an adult."
This photograph is of my grandson Gray who paints with water colors on the side of the tub. He has no feeling about his creations being good or bad. He creates without hesitation, without judgement, without stress and with total abandon. He wipes his creations off the side of the tub and starts all over.
I am so inspired by his lack of concern for the end product. It is all about the process for him. It is about being fascinated with watching the colors blend together and seeing how many shapes his little finger can draw. He even gets excited watching the colors dissolve into the bath water.
Oh to live so in the moment. To live so free from the concern for perfection. To be so happy with so little. To be so absorbed in such a simple act.
So much to learn from a 3 year old.
I want to grow up to be just like him.
